Seattle Sounders History
The Seattle Sounders are a professional soccer team located in Seattle, Washington. They play in Major League Soccer (MLS) in the Western Conference. The Sounders joined the MLS as an expansion team in 2009, playing their home games at Lumen Field. The 2023 season is the Sounders’ 40th in history and 15th in the MLS. They have gotten off to a solid start, currently sitting at 8th in the MLS table and 3rd in the Western Conference with an 8-7-5 record (29 points). Led by Captain Nicolas Lodeiro, the Sounders are looking for a much needed win against the Houston Dynamo on July 1st to become tied for first place in the Western Conference.
